This Mother’s Day, we’re gathering to celebrate mothers and the families who love them.

Join us for Mama’s Day, a nourishing and family-welcoming weekend designed to honor motherhood in all its forms. Set in the quiet beauty of the mountains at Mill Creek Resort, this weekend offers space to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate the care that mothers give every day.

Here, mamas are cared for.

Partners and families are invited to be part of the magic.

Whether you come with just your children, or with your whole family, this retreat is designed to feel supportive, joyful, and deeply restorative.

Waldorf-inspired Crafts

Hands-on creative activities where mothers and children or the entire family can make something special together.
Saturday we’ll offer multiple crafts for the whole family.

Nature Discovery

Mill Creek Resort’s 12 wooded acres (and surrounding trails) become a little world to explore together. Wander forest paths, visit the creek, and discover the birds and woodland critters that call this place home. Splash in the water, take a nearby family-friendly hike, or bring your bikes and cruise the quiet mountain roads.

Mama & mini yoga

Each morning begins with gentle movement on our meadow deck to help everyone slow down and connect.

Saturday morning will feature an mamas-only yoga session.
Sunday morning will include a playful kids’ yoga and circle time. Families are encouraged to join together.

Wellness & Restoration

• Restorative yoga and gentle movement
• Optional facials and massage offerings
• Quiet spaces to breathe, sip tea, and soften after Saturday morning yoga
• Time in nature among the forests and meadow of Mill Creek

Mama Day Brunch OPtion

A special Mother’s Day brunch is available locally at Highlands Ranch Resort, just a short drive from Mill Creek. This beloved annual brunch is a wonderful way to end the weekend.

Brunch is not included in the retreat weekend, and reservations are encouraged.

HOW TO JOIN US:

  1. Add preferred accommodation to the cart. The cost includes all taxes and fees for 2 nights.

    NOTE: If you’d like to come early or stay an extra day, please make your reservation for the same accommodation or site by clicking HERE. Or give us a call at 530.595.4449

    Also: Local guests are warmly welcome! If you prefer to stay off-site, simply select the Mama & Family Pass when booking. This pass provides access to the weekend offerings and is good for the entire family.

Ticket purchases and accommodations are 50% refundable if canceled before April 28th. No refunds will be issued if canceled after April 28th.

The event is rain or shine. If for any reason, the retreat is canceled, you will be refunded 100%.

Cabin One

$500.00

Our Logging Family cabin is one of our more spacious cabins for rent. We paid homage to the logging pioneers of the Lassen area by decorating the cabin with local vintage photographs and antique logging relics. The 2 bedrooms each have a queen-sized log beds, and the living room couch folds out, making room for 2 more sleeping spaces. 

Take joy in ultimate family time in the generously-sized living room that’s open to the kitchen and dining room with seating for six. Watch the world go by on the half-wrap-around porch nestled into the forest.

Max occupancy: 6 people

All guests are required to purchase one “mama & family pass”

The cost includes all taxes and fees for 2 nights.

Comfy beds with all linens and bedding provided

Bathrooms include showers and are stocked with towels, washcloths, and locally-made hand soap from Mountain Girl Essentials

Fully stocked kitchen including:

  • Full-size refrigerator

  • 12-cup coffee maker with reusable filter

  • Pots and pans

  • Cups, mugs, and wine glasses

  • Plates and bowls

  • Serving bowls and baking dishes

  • Firepit (wood for sale at the lodge)

  • Charcoal BBQ (briquettes not provided)

Although our rental cabins have all the necessities for a comfortable stay, you won’t find any A/C, microwaves, Wi-Fi, televisions, or reliable cell phone service in any of the units. Be prepared for time well spent unplugged and undistracted.
