About Cindy: I was raised in the high desert of southwest Colorado. My mother was a buyer for a trading post and we traveled the reservations searching for native art. I was exposed to the amazing talent among the Indigenous people and that influence can be seen throughout my weavings and colorways. After a stint in Arizona, we moved to Southern Oregon in search of cooler climes and an artist community.
I found my passion for the fiber arts during college and after 40 years of weaving, that passion is still alive. I work on several 8 harness looms and I dye 90% of my yarn. The colorways are inspired by the landscapes I encounter during my travels.
My work includes wall-hangings using native woods and hand-dyed cotton. I use a bandsaw to cut the wood which is then woven into the cotton yarn. Other products are hand-dyed scarves/shawls, unique clothing, and dish towels. Please visit my website for purchasing info.
